If she didn’t use her hands during conversations she’d probably be speechless.
With waves of expression, Mary Vaughan speaks about AVIAN, her job and her family with a smile on her face.
During her almost six years with AVIAN, Mary has provided Communication, Navigation and Surveillance Air Traffic Management logistics support to the Air Combat Electronics Program Office (PMA-209) in Patuxent River, Maryland. Mary enjoys the diversity of Navy/Marine Corps program she supports. She provides logistics for fixed-wing, rotary-wing, unmanned systems and jet-propelled aircraft.
She describes AVIAN as the “best frickin’ company” she’s ever worked for. Her favorite company event to date was the recent Gumball Rally, which was an interactive team relay race around the county.
Mary’s two children describe her as “mean,” but only because she gives the grandkids back when she’s ready for some peace and quiet with her dog, Reese.
A bucket list item for Mary is to one day skydive. She hopes to do this someday with one of her sons.
