Lexington Park, Md. - AVIAN LLC was awarded a $4.26 million new prime contract with the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center, part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT). This contract will support the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in enhancing safety and compliance across the nation’s highways.
The mission of the FMCSA is to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving large trucks and buses on the nation’s highways. As part of the U.S. Department of Transportation, FMCSA's primary role is to enforce safety regulations, improve driver safety, and ensure the safe operation of commercial motor vehicles.
Under this contract, AVIAN will provide integrated communications and education, learning, and training (ELT) support, along with stakeholder engagement, graphic design, conference and meeting planning, and other key services. These efforts will benefit a range of FMCSA programs, including:
· Motor Carrier Safety Applied Analysis
· Crash Causal Factors Program (CCFP)
· Innovative Technology Deployment (ITD) Program
· State Safety Programs
· Enforcement and Compliance
· Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Program
· Performance Registration Information Systems Management (PRISM)
· Advisory Committee Support

In addition to these services, AVIAN will assist the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) with project management and financial reporting throughout the contract period, which spans 12 months.
AVIAN will be collaborating with its subcontractor, Changeis, to ensure the successful execution of the contract. The work will be performed in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
