AVIAN Supports Next Generation Jammer Testing

Sep 22nd, 2020

AVIAN’s Test & Evaluation (T&E) experts recently supported the U.S. Navy’s Next Generation Jammer Low Band (NGJ-LB) test events at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. AVIAN employee Dan Doster, was instrumental in the implementation through final Demonstration of Existing Technologies testing of two contractors’ prototype pods at both Air Combat Environmental Test and Evaluation Facility and the Facility for Antenna and RCS Measurement, even as COVID-19 restrictions were put in place.

Serving as the single point of contact and subject matter expert for all test-related issues, Doster provided critical advice on the Government’s long-range test strategy and assisted the Government with coordination and problem solving during the test execution phase for two simultaneous efforts, at two different government facilities, with two competing contractors, including coordinating issues related to COVID-19, base access, equipment, weather, and test execution prioritization.

“After having flown with and supported the ALQ-99 Tactical Jamming System as the former program lead, it’s extremely rewarding to test this critical and long-awaited capability,” said Doster.

Doster is just one example of AVIAN’s T&E powerhouse. Our expertise, coupled with our proficiency, professionalism, proactiveness, and productiveness, make us the leader and contractor of choice for all things T&E.
